Park & Willow Urban Studio was founded by two passionate Toronto-based urban planners.

The studio's primary focus is analyzing Toronto at the smallest scale: neighbourhoods. They believe the lack of detailed data and thorough analysis at this level makes it challenging to enhance community well-being and achieve truly sustainable neighbourhoods. One of the biggest issues in urban planning is that efforts often focus on macro-level planning, overlooking the nuanced concerns and unique needs of smaller communities.

Kash, Coming from East Willowdale, Toronto and is passionate about urban planning, urban design, and transportation systems. His approach emphasizes grassroots engagement and community-driven perspectives on how cities evolve.

He is particularly interested in integrating sustainability and community-led planning into urban development, with a focus on social sustainability, environmental responsibility, and climate resilience. Through his work, Kash is particularly motivated by the challenge of creating communities that remain vibrant, inclusive, and environmentally responsible as cities grow.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and a postgraduate certificate in Sustainable Urban and Transportation Planning from Seneca Polytechnic, and is currently working as a Planner I with the City of Thunder Bay.

Armin, Coming from Scarborough Junction, has been interested in maps and flags since childhood, which eventually led him to explore back roads and discover a real interest in urban spaces and how they shape everyday life.

He is an urban planner who cares deeply about land use, sustainable decision-making, and making sense of urban data. Armin is also a strong advocate for built heritage, which he sees as essential to the character of cities and to everyday walkability.

He is experienced in supporting heritage conservation through research, policy work, heritage inventories, grant applications, and developing tools for heritage property owners through his work with the Town of Banff. Additionally, he holds a BSc in Urban Planning and studied Sustainable Urban and Transportation Planning at Seneca Polytechnic.
